Volcano Status: Dormant. Active fumaroles.
Age/Last Eruption: Lassen Peak is one of the youngest of the Cascade volcanoes. Lassen Peak last erupted in 1914-1917! The only other volcano in the continental United States to have erupted in the 20th century is Mount St. Helens in Washington.
Peak Elevation: 10,457 feet (3,187 meters).
Volcano Type/Deposits: Stratovolcano with a volcanic dome. Composed mostly of a mass of dacite lava.
